Welcome to the Northern California Drag Association.

We are a Radio Controlled Drag racing organization located in Northern California.   We operate 1/10th scale and larger drag race vehicles.  After the original club closed in the mid 1990's the NCDA was reborn in early 2006.  With the help of some of the original members the club was revived and has returned radio controlled drag racing to Northern California.  We are affiliated with IMDRA.  For more info on RC drag racing go to:   http://imdra.com/phpbb/index.php    Check the Division 7 section for California drag racing info, or other divisions for other tracks/clubs and racing series on local, regional and national levels as well as pics and videos from around country.  A new manufacturers section is there to provide information on what is available in the market place.

GREAT NEWS the new NorCalHobbies permanent track in Union City is ready for Test & Tune this Sunday, March 11th.   We have a new pc controlled timing system (http://www.trackmateracing.com) that provides accuracy to .0001 of second with a full sized tree and a printer to provide each racer with a timing slip.  Track is a measured 132' long (1/10th scale 1/4 mile) with another 100+ feet of shutdown area.  Timing sensors are placed at 6', 66', 122 and 132', these provide elapsed time with mph calculated during last 10' of run.  This is same setup used by 1:1 drag racing organizations like NHRA.  Track is prepared with spray on non toxic traction material, protective side boards and low angle center ramps to protect sensors and cars.  If you want to know how quick and fast your on road or off road car is bring down to the track, almost any type of car that is 1/10th or 1/8th scale can be competitive in the Bracket class.
